Omiya Bonsai Museum
Located just 40 minutes away from Tokyo in Saitama City, the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum is the world’s first publicly run museum dedicated to bonsai art. With a collection boasting 100 bonsai masterpieces and bonsai-related artifacts such as bonsai pots, miniature landscape stones (called suiseki), books and woodblock prints, etc., tourists as well as bonsai aficionados can enjoy some of the most amazing bonsai on offer year round. To make the experience more enjoyable for everyone, the Omiya Bonsai Art Museum places, at your disposal, English audio and written guides.
Please note though that while we were graciously allowed to freely take videos and photos in this museum, we would like to warn you in advance that only a few items in the collection can be photographed in order to respect everyone’s pleasure to enjoy these gorgeous creations!
