The Icho Namiki Avenue in Gaienmae is a rather typical large avenue in Tokyo all year long with the exception of few weeks a year (Mid November ! Mid December) when all the ginkgo trees lined up on each side the avenue turn to gold. This turns a rather banal place into a magical and romantic avenue that is definitely worth checking if you are visiting Japan this time of year!

L’Avenue Icho Namiki à Gaienmae est une grande avenue comme on en trouve par dizaines à Tokyo, à l’exception que celle-ci voit ses rangées d’arbres Ginkgo Biloba emprunter un aspect doré pendant quelques semaines par an (de mi-Novembre a mi-Decembre), ce qui offre une magique et romantique à un endroit plutôt banal. Alors si vous êtes de passage en cette période, faites-y un tour !
