Haiya Odori Tour
Ushibuka Haiya Odori is one of Japan’s most famous festivals. It began around 200 years ago during the Edo era in the once rich port of Ushibuka. What is unique about the Ushibuka Haiya Odori, it’s said to be the root of all “Awa Odori” and “Haiya” folk music heard all over Japan!
In Ushibuka, Haiya-Bushi dance has been passed down from generation to generation as a traditional performing art. Usually taking place once a year in February, the people of Ushibuka have started offering during August some unique Haiya Odori performances inviting others to come along and learn about the beauty of Haiya Odori and it’s unique history and dance and participate in one of a kind festival with other performers coming from all over Japan!
Luckily for us, we have been invited by the nice folks of Ushibuka tourism promotion and the Team of SuperMatsuri (https://supermatsuri.com) to participate in this fantastic event and adventure!
Ushibuka Haiya Odori est un des plus célèbres festivals japonais. Il a débuté il y a environ 200 ans durant l’ère Edo dans le riche port de Ushibuka. Ce qui rend Ushibuka Haiya Odori unique est qu’on dit qu’il est l’origine de toutes les musiques folk “Awa Odori” et les “Haiya” écoutées dans tout le Japon !
A Ushibuka, La danse Haiya-Bushi a été transmise de generation en generation comme une performance artistique traditionnelle. Prenant place habituellement en Février, les habitants de Ushibuka on commencé à offrir des performances Haiya Odori uniques en Août avec l’envie d’inviter tout le monde à les suivre et à découvrir la beauté de Haiya Odori et de son histoire unique. Ushibuka Haika Odorico es uno de los festivales más famosos de Japón y empezó a celebrarse hace unos 200 años durante la Era Edo en el, por entonces, rico puerto de Ushibuka. Se dice que el Ushibuka Haiya Odori es el origen de la música tradicional que podemos escuchar en todos los “Ana Odori” y “Haiya” de Japón.
En Ushibuka, la danza Haiya-Bushi ha ido pasando de generación a generación como un arte interpretativo tradicional. Suele celebrarse una vez al año en febrero pero la gente de Ushibuka ha empezado a ofrecer actuaciones únicas de Haiya Odori en agosto en las que invita a la gente a unirse y aprender sobre la belleza del Haiya Odori y su historia participando en un festival único con otros intérpretes procedentes de todo Japón.
