Nagahama has grown to be a pivotal port town which has connected sea and river freight transport since the Edo feudal period.

Nagahama Ohashi (bridge) was constructed as a part of a public works project to connect the Prefectural Road from Nagahama to the Kawanoishi (Yawatahama City) Line and Nagahama to the Gunchu (Iyo City) Line to help boost the economy.
The bridge was designed by Jun Masuda, who was considered to be a pioneer bridge-building consultant.

With total construction costs of approximately 280,000 yen, (modern equivalent of approximately 2 billion yen), the bridge was completed in August, Showa 10 (1935) using the latest construction techniques.

Hijikawa Arashi Storm.
Hijikawa Arashi is a cold foggy wind which occurs between fall and winter at night and early mornings around the mouth of the Hijikawa River in Nagahama, Ozu City, Ehime Prefecture. On some sunny mornings, strong cold air is created in the upper stream of the Hijikawa River in the Ozu Bonchi Basin and it blows along the river, accompanied by fog. It looks as if a swift current is flowing out of a foggy lake, swallowing the town with roaring sounds. The spectacular scene of foggy wind blowing into the sea often reminds people of the wonder of nature.

Nagahama a évolué en une ville portuaire statégique de par sa connexion fluviale et maritime lui assurant son transport de fret depuis l’ère Edo.

Nagahama Ohashi (le pont) fut construit en tant que partie d’un projet public afin de connecter la voie préfectorale de la ligne Nagahama – Kawanoishi (Yamatahama City) et de la ligne Nagahama – Gunchu (Iyo City) pour ainsi favoriser l’essor économique qui en découle. Le pont a été imaginé par Jun Masuda, qui était considéré comme un pionnier dans l’expertise de la construction de ponts.

Avec un coût de construction total de 280 000 Yen, (l’équivalence moderne vaut de nos jours environ 2 milliards de Yen), le pont fut achevé en Août, Showa 10 (1935) et bénéficie des dernières techniques de construction.

La tempête Hijikawa Arashi.
Hijikawa Arashi est un vent froid et brumeux qui se lève entre l’automne et l’hiver, de nuit ou très tôt le matin, autour de la bouche du fleuve Hijikawa à Nagahama, Ozu City, dans la préfecture d’Ehime. Lors de certaines matinées ensoleillées, un air froid et puissant est créé dans le courant supérieur du fleuve Hijikawa dans le bassin d’Ozu Bonchi, et est soufflé tout le long du fleuve, accompagné par un brouillard. Cet événement donne le sentiment qu’un courant rapide s’échappe d’un lac brumeux, avalant la ville avec des bruits de rugissement. La scène spectaculaire de ce vent brumeux s’engouffrant dans la mer est un véritable témoignage de la beauté de la nature.

Nagahama ha crecido hasta convertirse en una importantísima ciudad portuaria que desde la Era Edo ha funcionado de enlace para el transporte de mercancías marítimo y fluvial.

Nagahama Ohashi (puente) fue construido como parte de un proyecto de obra pública con el propósito de unir la Carretera Prefectural de Nagahama con la Línea Kawanoishi (ciudad de Yawatahama) así como Nagahama con la Línea Gunchu (ciudad de Iyo) y contribuir de este modo a dinamizar la economía de la zona.

El puente fue diseñado por Jun Masuda, a quien se consideraba como un innovador en el ámbito de la construcción de puentes.

Con un coste de construcción total de 280.000 yenes (equivalentes a aproximadamente 2000 millones de yenes en la actualidad), el puente fue completado en agosto, Showa 10 (1935) usando las técnicas de construcción más novedosas de la época.

La tormenta de Hijikawa Arashi.
Hijikawa Arashi es un viento frío y neblinoso que aparece entre el otoño y el invierno por las mañanas temprano alrededor de la boca del río Hijikawa de Nagahama, en la ciudad de Ozu, prefectura de Ehime. Algunas mañanas soleadas, se crea una fuerte corriente de aire frío en el arroyo superior del río Hijikawa en la cuenca Ozu Bonchi que sopla sobre el río acompañado de niebla. Parece como si una veloz corriente de aire estuviera saliendo de un lago sumergido en la niebla y tragándose la ciudad entre sonidos atronadores.

Hijikawa Arashi vihar.

Город Нагахама возник как важнейшее связующее звено для речного транспорта в эпоху Эдо.

Мост Нагахама был сооружен как часть общественного проекта. Целью этой стройки было соединение областной дороги, ведущей из Нагахамы в Каваноиши (город Яватахама).

Ветер Хиджикава Араши.
Хиджикава Араши — это поток холодного воздуха, который приходит осенью и зимой. Он начинает дуть либо ночью, либо ранним утром в устье реки Хиджикава, что в Нагахаме, город Озу, префектура Эхиме.
Солнечным утром в верхнем течении реки Хиджикава возникает большая масса холодного воздуха. Этот поток движется вниз, сопровождаемый туманом. Все это выглядит как масса тумана, вытекающая из озера, и поглощающая город, и окрестности. Когда туман достигает моря, это напоминает наблюдателю о чуде природы.
