Meguro Gajoen

Built in 1935 as Japan’s first wedding complex, Meguro Gajoen is a mini-oasis in the middle of a mostly business district. Granted, Meguro Gajoen is not the most amazing place in Japan to visit, however this complex does offer some very interesting attractions including indoor traditional restaurant/tea ceremony rooms, gardens with some gorgeous wooden painting fresque, a nice little pond and a selection of restaurants that are featured in the Tokyo edition of the famous Michelin Guide! If that’s not enough for you, make sure to visit the Meguro Gajoen Hyakudan Kaidan Festival usually held from the end of January to the beginning of March.

Construit en 1935 comme étant le premier complexe matrimonial du Japon, Meguro Gajoen est une mini oasis en plein centre d’un quartier des affaires. Ce n’est certainement pas l’endroit le plus excitant à visiter, mais ce complexe propose cependant des activités intéressantes comme un restaurant traditionnel, des salles pour la cérémonie du thé, des jardins avec de magnifiques fresques peintes, un petit étang, et une sélection de restaurants qui figurent dans l’édition de Tokyo du guide Michelin !
